a tree native to South America, mainly found in

Chile. It is also known as the soap tree due to the

presence of saponins in its bark and leaves,

industries. Its evergreen leaves have a glossy

green color, and its small white flowers bloom in

spring. The quillay is a hardy species that adapts

to various climates and soils, thriving in both dry

hillsides and humid valleys. Besides its ecological
